Janet is a highly experienced professional mezzo soprano with a considerable gift for communication. She has performed for many opera companies and is a prize winning recitalist, however it is as an oratorio singer that her consummate musicianship has been most widely recognised and admired.
On a summer evening in 2019, Janet was privileged to be involved in a recording of the wonderful Durufle Requiem with Guildford Cathedral Choir.
As a trained wedding and funeral celebrant, Janet brings warmth and dignity to all occasions, drawing on her experience as a professional performer and presenter.
Janet founded Talking Voice to bring her expertise and knowledge in voice and amazing facility as a presenter to all professional voice users. She works extensively with teachers, providing continuing professional development, and trainee teachers, as well as working in the business community - working on confidence in public speaking.
Janet is passionate about promoting her art. She teaches at Eton College and St. Paul's Girls' school, and has an extensive private teaching practice. She works with children and adults, and runs masterclasses and singing workshops.
Janet is part of the Brooklands Radio Team, where she hosts a Sunday evening Classical music show called The Classical Collection.
